satisfy these men with bread 5 here in the wilderness? And he asked them; How many loaves have ye? And they 6 said; Seven. And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground; and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the peo7 ple. And they had a few small fishes; and he blessed, and commanded to set them 8 also before them. So they did eat, and were filled; and they took up of the broken meat that was left, sev9 en baskets. And they that had eaten were about four thousand; and he sent them away.

16 The Pharisees also and the Sadducees came, and, tempting, desired him that he would shew them a sign from heav2 en. He answered and said 12 unto them; When it is evening, ye say; It will be fair weather; for the sky is 3 red.

And straightway he entered into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts 11 of Dalmanutha. And the Pharisees came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him. And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith; Why doth this generation seek after a sign? Verily I say unto you, there shall no sign be given to this generation. And he left them, and entering into the ship again, departed to the other side.

MATTHEW XVI.

When Jesus came into 27 the coasts of Cesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying; Whom do men say I that I, the Son of man, am? 14 And they said; Some say that thou art John the Baptist; some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the 15 prophets. He saith unto

And it came to pass as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him; and he asked them, saying; Whom say the people that I am? 19 They answering, said; John the Baptist; but some say Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is 20 risen again.
