7 Then shall they rule with iron rod
-Nations that dar'd rebel;

And join the sentence of their God,
On tyrants doom'd to hell.

8 The royal sinners, bound in chains,
New triumphs shall afford;

1

Such honour for the saints remains;
Praise ye, and love the Lord.

PSALM 150.-C. M. [*]
Ver. 1, 2, 6. A song of praise.
'N God's own house pronounce his praise
His grace he there reveals;

To heaven your joy and wonder raise,
For there his glory dwells.

2 Let all your sacred passions move,
While you rehearse his deeds:
But the great work of saving love,
Your highest praise exceeds.

-8. All that have motion, life and breath,
Proclaim your Maker blest;
Yet when my voice expires in death,
My soul shall praise him best.

HYMNS.

BOOK I.

COLLECTED FROM THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

1

HYMN I.-C. M. [*]

A new song to the Lamb that was slain.
Rev. v. 6, 8, 9-12.

BEHOLD

EHOLD the glories of the Lamb,
Amidst his Father's throne!
Prepare new honours for his name,
And songs before unknown.

2 Let elders worship at his feet,
The church adore around,
With vials full of odours sweet,
And harps of sweeter sound.

5 Those are the prayers of all the saints,
And these the hymns they raise:
Jesus is kind to our complaints,
He loves to hear our praise.
[Eternal Father, who shall look
Into thy secret will?

Who but the Son shall take that book,
And open ev'ry seal?

5 He shall fulfil thy great decrees,
The Son deserves it well;

Lo, in his hand the sovereign keys
