We alfo befeech thee to direct us in all things, throughout all the outward accidents of this life, conftantly defending us from all misfortunes, which we pray for the fake of thy bleed Son, our Lord and Saviour Jefus Chrift. Amen.

Almighty Lord, and everlafting God, vouchfafe, we beseech thee, to direct, fanctify, and govern both our hearts and bodies in the ways of thy laws, and in the works of thy commandments, that through thy most mighty protection, both here and ever, we may be preferved in body and foul, through our Lord and Saviour Jefus Chrift. 3. GRANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that the

words which we have heard this day with our outward ears, may through thy grace be fo grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honour and praife of thy Name, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

Lmighty God, who haft promised to hear the petitions of them that afk in thy Son's Name; We beltech thee mercifully to incline thine ears to us that have made now our prayers and fupplications unto thee, and grant that thofe things which we have faithfully afked according to thy will, may effectually be obtained, to the relief of our neceffity, and to the fetting forth of thy glory, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

Omnipotent Lord God, from whom proceedeth all wisdom, and who art able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, Eph, iii. 20. who, before we afk, art well acquainted with all our wants and neceffities, we most humbly befeech thee to pity the infirmities and imperfections of our devotions, and graciously to fupply us with all those bleffings, which we are either too blind and ignorant to feel the want of, or too unworthy to ask of thee; and this we humbly request, through the merit and worthinefs of thy Son, our Saviour, Jefus Chrift. Amen.

3. O God, of infinite power, who haft in thy facred word promised, that whatever we afk in Chriff's name thou wilt give us, John xvi. 23. we intreat that through thy abundant mercy, thou wilt incline a favourable car to the petitions which (in Chrift's name) we have put up unto thee; and grant that whatfoever, agreeable to thy will, we have this day prayed for, may be effectually obtained, that our wants may be amply fupplied, and the glory of thy bounty may be fully difplayed, for the fake of Jefus Christ, our Lord and Saviour, Amen.

pon the Sundays, and other Holy-days (if there be no Communion) fhall be faid all that is appointed at the Communion, until the end of the general Prayer [For the whole State of Christ's Church militant here on Earth] together with one or more of these collects laft bfore rebearfed, concluding with the Bleffing.

And there shall be no Celebration of the Lord's-Supper, except there be a cons venient Number to communicate with the priest, according to his Difcretion. And if there be not above twenty perfons in the parish, of Difcretion to receivė the Communion; yet there shall be no Communion, except four (or three at the leaft) communicate with the priest.

And in Cathedral and Collegiate Churches and Colleges, where there are many Priefts and Deacons, they fhail all receive the Communion with the Prieft, every Sunday at the leaft, except they have a reasonable caufe to the contrary. And to take away all Occafion of Diffenfion and Superftition, which any perfen bath or might have concerning the Bread and Wine, it shall fifice, that the Bread be fuch as is ufual to be eaten; but the best and purest Wheat Bread that conveniently may be gotten.

And if any of the Bread and Wine remain unconfecrated, the Curate shall have it to his own Uje; but if any remain of that which was confecrated, it fall not be carried out of the Church, but the Prieft, and fuch other of the Communicants as be fall then call unto him, fhall immediately after the Bleffing, reverently eat and drink the fame.

The Bread and Wine for the Communion shall be provided by the Curate and the Church-awardens, at the Charges of the Parif.

And note, That every Parishioner shall communicate at the leaft three Times in the Year, of which Eafter to be one. And yearly at Eatter every Parishioner fball reckon with the Parjon, Vicar, or Curate, or his or their Deputy or Deputies, and pay to them or him all Ecclefiaftical Duties accuftomably due, then and at that time to be paid.

After the Divine Service ended, the Money given at the Offertory fhall be difpofed of to fuch pious and charitable Ufes, as the Minifter and Church-ardins, shall think fit; wherein if they dijagree, it shall be difpofed of as the Ordinary shall appoint.

Hereas it is ordained in this Office for the Adminif tration of the Lord's Supper, that the Communicants should receive the fame kneeling; (which Order is well meant, for a Signification of our humble and grateful Acknowledgment of the Benefits of Chrift therein given to all worthy Receivers, and for the avoiding of fuch Profanation and Disorder in the holy Communion, as might otherwife enfue) Yet, leaft the fame Kneeling fhould by any Perfons, either out of Ignorance and Infirmity, or out of Malice and Obft nacy, be mifconftrued and depraved: It is here declared, That thereby no Adoration is intended, or

ought to be done, either unto the Sacramental Bread of Wine there bodily received, or unto any Corporal Prefence of Christ's natural Flesh and Blood. For the Sacramental Bread and Wine remain fill in their very natural Subftances, and therefore may not be adored, (for that were Idolatry, to be abhorred of all faithful Chriftians) and the natural Body and Blood of our Saviour Chriit are in heaven, and not here; it being against the Truth of Chrift's natural Body, to be at one Time in more Places than one.
