456 Thou openest thy hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Ps. cxlv: 16.

I O Lord of heaven, and earth, and sea,

To Thee all praise and glory be ;
How shall we show our love to Thee,
Who givest all?

2 The golden sunshine, vernal air,

Sweet flowers and fruit Thy love declare;
Where harvests ripen, Thou art there,
Who givest all.

3 For peaceful homes and healthful days,
For all the blessings earth displays,
We owe Thee thankfulness and praise,
Who givest all.

4 For souls redeemed, for sins forgiven,
For means of grace and hopes of heav'n,
What can to Thee, O Lord, be given,
Who givest all?

5 We lose what on ourselves we spend,
We have as treasures without end
Whatever, Lord, to Thee we lend,
Who givest all.

They joy before thee according to the joy of harvest. Isa. ix: 3.

I Praise to God, immortal praise,
For the love that crowns our days;
Bounteous source of every joy,
Let Thy praise our tongues em-
ploy.

2 For the blessings of the field;
For the stores the gardens yield;
For the vine's exalted juice;
For the generous olive's use.

3 Flocks that whiten all the plain: Yellow sheaves of ripen'd grain; Clouds that drop their fattening

dews;

Suns that temperate warmth diffuse:

4 All that spring with bounteous
hand

Scatters o'er the smiling land,
All that liberal autumn pours
From her rich o'erflowing stores;

5 These to Thee, my God, we owe, Source whence all our blessings

flow;

And for these my soul shall raise
Grateful vows and solemn praise.
