DELIVERANCE

FROM

ADVERSARIES.

The Lord is my light and my salvation: whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid ?-PSALM XXVii. 1.

I am with thee; and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee.-ACTS xviii. 10, first clause.

He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.--PSALM lvii. 3.

Lead me, O Lord, in Thy righteousness, because of mine enemies: make Thy way straight before my face.-PSALM v. 8.

O Lord my God, in Thee do I put my trust save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.-PSALM vii. 1.

Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against

me.

Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.-PSALM iii. 1, 2.

Draw nigh unto my soul, and redeem it; deliver me because of mine enemies.

The wicked watcheth the righteous and seeketh to slay him.

The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.PSALM XXXVii. 32, 33.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: He is their strength in the time of trouble, and the Lord shall help them and deliver them.

He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in Him. -PSALM XXXvii. 39, 40.

I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.-JER. XV. 20, last clause, 21.

If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory

Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before Thee.

Reproach hath broken my heart.-PSALM lxix. 18, 19, 20, first clause.

Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; defend me from them that rise up against me.-PSALM lix. 1.

Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.-PSALM xxxvii. 1.

The enemy hath persecuted my soul: he hath smitten my life down to the ground, he hath made me to dwell in darkness.PSALM cxliii. 3, to last clause.

and of God resteth upon you; on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.-1 ST. PETER iv. 14.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, Thou wilt revive me; Thou shalt stretch forth Thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and Thy right hand shall save me. -PSALM CXxxviii. 7.

The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.-HBB. xiii. 6.

Fear not for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
