This country is free from lightning, and although thunder is frequently heard, it is far up in the mountain. Spring begins here about the middle of August, and continues till November it is summer from November till February. Autumn continues till May; and winter till August. . It rarely snows in the vallies, though the moun. tains are always covered. This country is entirely free from all kinds
