The above, I think, is the facta, vid. Heynium, 1. c. Aquila et Symtrue etymon of, and its meaning here machus: áraλà λáɣava дσπρiwdŋ, mollia seems to be choice, full, plump, generous, olera, leguminosa. Onkelos h. 1. pro y

condusa tenera ; sed, פִירוּכָן רַכִּיכֶן ponit כַּרְמֶל . כרם according to the primitive meaning of

Pool. The priest that is anointed.] i.e., the high-priest, who only was anointed after the first time. See Exod. xxix. 7; xxx. 30; xl. 15; Lev. x. 7; Num. iii. 3. His anointing is mentioned, because he was not complete high priest till he was anointed. According to the sin of the people; in the same manner as any of the people do, which implies that God expected more circumspection and care from him than from the people. But the words may be rendered, to the sin or guilt of the people, which may be mentioned as a reason of the law, and an aggravation of his sin, that by it he commonly brings sin, and guilt, and sin-offering shall be taken off. See notes on punishment upon the people, who are infected or scandalized by his example.

Ged., Booth.-When the sin which they have committed is known, then the congregation shall offer a steer without blemish [Sam., LXX] for a sin-offering. And they shall bring it to the door of [Sam., LXX] the congregation tabernacle [Ged., convention tent; see notes on Exod. xxvii. 21] Bp. Horsley.-14 A young bullock.
