THO

HE Bookseller, designing to publish as

compleat an Edition of Paradise Lost, as possible, would likewife have printed Mr. ADDISON's Notes thereon; but that he was sensible that most polite Readers are already furnished with the Spectators, or else willfurnish themselves with those that are done by Mr. ADDISON alone, which the Publisher hath now on the Press, and will be speedily published to perfect his whole Work ; and therefore would not put them to the Expense of Duplicates: But to save them the Troue ble of looking over all the Volumes, he has thought it proper to refer to the several Spec. tators wherein the Criticisms on MILTON are contain'd.
