1 In Exod. xii. Heb. xi. 28: “Through faith he

kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch

them.” 2 Isa. liii. 7: “He is brought as a lamb to the

slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” Compare Acts viii. 32 ; John i. 29: “ Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world,” and verse 36. Rev. v. 6–12 : “I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain. ... Worthy is the Lamb that was slain.” See also
