The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

He forgiveth all thine iniquities; he healeth all thy diseases; he redeemeth thy life from destruction; he crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him; for he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, “Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me." And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land, and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat; and no man. gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, "How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare,

and I perish with hunger. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired. servants."" And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said unto him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.' But the father said to his servants, "Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet; and bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found."

If

Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? ye, then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him.

B

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of Lights.

The Lord will not cast off forever; but though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion, according to the multitude of his mercies.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us - ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

It is not the will of your Father which is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

The gift of God is eternal life.

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

For God is Love.

HIS HELP.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

My help cometh from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Thou art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea.

The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down.

We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble.

Thou, O Lord, art a shield for me.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler and my high

tower.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear.

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me.

He shall deliver thee in six troubles; yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.

The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants; and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
