THANKS FOR RAIN.

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion, who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea.

Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains, being girded with power; who stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens; thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.

Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it; thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water. Thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly. Thou settlest the furrows thereof. Thou makest it soft with showers. Thou blessest the springing thereof. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness, and thy paths drop fatness.

They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness, and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks. The valleys also are covered over with corn. They shout for joy; they also sing.

IN STORM AND TEMPEST.

The Lord reigneth; let the people tremble. He sitteth between the cherubim; let the earth be moved.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves. The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of glory thundereth; the Lord is upon many waters.

His lightnings enlightened the world; the earth saw and trembled.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness. The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth king for ever.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will we not fear though the earth be removed, and though

the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled; though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

The Lord reigneth; let the earth rejoice. Clouds and darkness are round about him; righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.

THANKFUL PRAISE.

O, give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.

O, give thanks unto the God of gods; O, give thanks to the Lord of lords.

To him who alone doeth great wonders; To him that by wisdom made the heavens; To him that stretched out the earth above the waters;

To him that made great lights;

The sun to rule by day,

The moon and stars to rule by night;

To him that led his people through the wilderness;

Who remembered us in our low estate;

Who giveth food to all flesh; for his mercy endureth forever.

O, give thanks unto the God of heaven; for his mercy endureth forever.

JOYFUL WORSHIP.

O, sing unto the Lord a new song; sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; show forth his salvation from day to day.

O, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; fear before him, all the earth.

Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth, the world also shall be established, that it shall not be moved. He shall judge the people righteously.

Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.

Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein; then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord.

For he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

PRAISE FROM ALL PEOPLE.

The Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.

Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion; and unto thee shall the vow be performed. O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

God be merciful unto us and bless us, and cause his face to shine upon us. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O, let the nations be glad, and sing for joy; for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase, and God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

PRAISE FROM ALL NATURE.

Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens. Praise him in the heights. Praise ye him, all his angels. Praise ye him,
