Refresh my soul with heavenly food,
Thou art my hidden treasure;

Let thy grace, Lord, warm and cheer me,
O draw near me; thou hast taught us
Thee to seek since thou hast sought us!

Here will I rest and hold it fast;
The Lord I love is First and Last,
The End as the Beginning.
Here I can calmly die, for thou

Wilt raise me where thou dwellest now
Above all tears, all sinning.

Amen! Amen! Come, Lord Jesus;

Soon release us; With deep yearning,
Lord, we look for thy returning.

2 Thou art the TRUTH-thy word alone.
True wisdom can impart;

Thou only canst inform the mind,
And purify the heart.

3 Thou art the LIFE-the rending tomb
Proclaims thy conquering arm,

And those who put their trust in thee
Nor death, nor hell shall harm.

4 Thou art the way-the truth-the life;
Grant us that way to know,

That truth to keep, that life to win,
Whose joys eternal flow.

I THOU hidden Source of calm repose,
Thou all-sufficient Love divine,

My help and refuge from my foes,
Secure I am, if thou art mine!
And lo! from sin, and grief, and shame,
I hide me, Jesus, in thy name.

2 Jesus, my all in all thou art,

My rest in toil, my ease in pain;
The healing of my broken heart;

In strife my peace: in loss my gain;
My smile beneath the tyrant's frown;
In shame, my glory and my crown;—

3 In want, my plentiful supply;

In weakness, my almighty power;
In bonds, my perfect liberty;

My light in Satan's darkest hour;
Thee, in each grief, my joy I call;
My life in death, my All in All!
