PSALM XCVIII. PART I. 1-4. (C. M.) 2 The Lord has through th' astonish'd world Display'd his saving might, And made his righteous acts appear 3 Of Israel's house his love and truth And earth's remotest ends the power 4 Let therefore earth's inhabitants PSALM XCVIII. PART II. 4-9. (c. M.) 1 Joy to the world! the Lord is come: Let earth receive her King: Let every heart prepare him room, And heav'n and nature sing. 2 Joy to the earth! the Saviour reigns: While fields & floods, rocks, hills & plains, 3 No more let sins and sorrows grow, He comes to make his blessings flow 4 He rules the world with truth and grace; And makes the nations prove The glories of his righteousness, 1 2 3 PSALM XCIX. 1-4. (s. M.) Let all the nations fear; Let sinners tremble at his throne, And saints be humble there. Jesus the Saviour reigns; Let earth adore its Lord: Bright cherubs his attendants stand, Swift to fulfil his word. In Zion is his throne, His honours are divine; His church shall make his wonders known, 4 How holy is his name! How terrible his praise! Justice, and truth, and judgement join In all his works of grace. PSALM C. VERSION I. (L. M.) 1 ALL people that on earth do dwell, 2 The Lord, ye know, is God indeed; 30 enter then his gates with praise, 4 For why? the Lord our God is good: His truth at all times firmly stood, PSALM C. VERSION II. (L. M.) 1 YE nations round the earth rejoice Doth life and breath and being give: PSALM C. VERSION III. (L.M.) 1 BEFORE Jehovah's awful throne, Ye nations, bow with sacred joy: Know that the Lord is God alone; He can create, and he destroy. 2 His sov'reign power, without our aid, 3 We are his people, we his care, 4 We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs, High as the heav'ns our voices raise; And earth, with her ten thousand tongues, Firm as a rock thy truth must stand, PSALM CII. PART 1. 13-22. (c.M.) I LET Zion and her sons rejoice; Her God hath heard her mourning voice, 2 Her dust and ruins that remain He hears the dying pris'ners' groan, 5 This shall be known when we are dead, And left on long record, That ages yet unborn may read, PSALM CII. PART II. 24-27. (C. M.) 1 THROUGH endless years thou art the same, O thou eternal God! Ages to come shall know thy name, 2 The strong foundations of the earth By thee the beauteous arch of heav'n 3 Soon shall this goodly frame of things, 1 2 3 Through everlasting ages shine PSALM CIII.
