The law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ.

Modal differences of the Law and the Gospel, but sub-
stantial unity. This illustrated-from the essentials of
both dispensations;-from their outward conduct ;-
from the aspects of the moral world, in respect of apo-
stasy-and of improvement;-from the junction of the
two covenants. Inference from the whole, that the
present trial of man is in his spirit. Manner in which.
this should dispose us towards holy Scripture.
