38. Jesus therefore again groaning in himself, comech to the Grave. It was a Cave, and a Stone lay upon it.
39. Jesus said, Take ye away the Stone. Martha, the Sister of him that was dead, faith unto him, Lord, by this time he STINKETH : for he hath been dead four Days.
40. Jesus faith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that if thou wouldft BELIEVE, thou shouldft see the GLORY of God?
41. Then they took away the Stone from the Place where the Dead was laid. And Jesus Lift up his Eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
42. And I knew that thou heareft me always: but bem cause of the People which stand by, I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
43. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud Voice, Lazarus, CONE FORTH.
44. And he that was DEAD came forth, bound Hand and Foot with Grave-clothes : and his face was bound about with a Napkin. Jesus faith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.
45. Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the Things which Jesus did, BELIEVED on him.

32. And not for that NATION only, but that also he Mould gather together in one, the Children of God that were SCATTERED abroad,
53. Then from that Day forth, they took COUNSEL together for to put him to Death.
54. Fesus therefore walked no more openly among the Fews; but went thence unto a Country near to the Wilderness, into a City called Ephraim, and there continued with his Disciples.
55. And the Jews Passover was nigh at hand: and many went out of the Country up to Jerusalem before the Paffover, to purify themselves.
56. Then Tought they for Jesus, and spake among themselves, as they stood in the Temple, What think ye, that he will not come to the Feast ?
57. Now both the Chief Priests and the Pharifees had given a Commandment, that if any Man knew where he were, he should thew it, that they might Take him.

CHRIST'S Parabolical Sermon to the
Multitude by the Sea-side, of the Sower of Seed, with the Explanation of it.
Matt. xiii. 1. Mark iv. 1. Luke viii. 4. [21.] HE fame Day went Jefus out of the
House, and fat by the Sea-side. [L.] And when much People were gathered together, and were come to him out of
every City, [Mr.] he began again to teach by the Sea-side, [M] and great Multitudes were gathered together unto him, fo that he went into a Ship, and the whole Multitude stood on the Shore, [Mr.] and was by the Sea on the Land. [M.] And he spake unto them, [Mr.) and taught them many
things by PARABLES, and said unto them, [L.] by a PARABLE, [ Mr.) hearken, Behold, there went out a Sower to fow (L.) his Seed : [Mr.) And it came to pass as he sowed, some fell on the WAY-SIDE, (L.) and it was troden down, (Mr.) and the Fowls of the Air came and devoured it up. And some fell upon STONY GROUND, where it had not much Earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had not depth of Earth : (L.) and as soon as it was sprung up [11.) it was scorched, (L.) because it lacked Moisture; [Mr.) and because it had no Root, it withered away. [L.) And some fell among THORNS, and the Thorns sprang up with it, and choked it, [Mr.) and it yielded no Fruit. [I.] And other fell on GOOD GROUND, and sprang up, and bare Fruit, (Mr.] that sprang up and increased, and brought forth, some thirty, and some fixty, and some an hundred. [L.] And when he had said these Things, he cried, and said unto them, He that hath Ears to hear, let him hear. And when he was alone, (M.) the Disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakert thou unto them in Parables ? [Mr.) And they that were about him, with the Twelve, asked him of the Parable, (L.) say. ing, What might this Parable be ? [M.] And he antwered and said unto them, because it is given unto you to know the MYSTERIES of the Kingdom of Heaven ; but to them it is not given. [Mr.] But all these Things are done in Parables, that seeing, they may fee, and not perceive ; and hearing, they may hear, and not understand : left at any time they should be converted, and their Sins Thould be forgiven. [M.] For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he hall have more Abundance : but whosoever hath not, from him fhall be taken away even that he hath. Therefore fpeak I to them in Parables: because they SEEING, SE E not; and HEARING, they HEAR not, neither do they UNDERSTAND. And in them is fulfilled the Prophecy in Esaias, which faith, By Hearing, ye shall hear, and shall not understand : and Seeing, ye shall fee, and shall not perceive. For this peoples Heart is waxed gross, and their Ears are dull of hearing : and their Eyes they have closed; left at any time they should fee with their Eyes, and hear with their Ears, and should understand with their Heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But bleffed are your Eyes, for they fee; and your Ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, many PROPHETS and RIGHTEOUS Men have
