" Then the same day at evening, being John, the first day of the week, when the doors 20 Ch were shut, where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, came Jesus, and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

And he said, Behold my hands and my Luke, feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and 24 Ch. see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, 39 ver. as ye see me have.

* Here he revived them from dead works unto a hope of immortality, which fulfils the words of Hosea, 6th chapter, 2nd verse. “After two days will he revive us.” which was four thousand years, being two thousand in each day.

Here the gate of immortality had been opened to him, and he had entered in, according to the words of David.

* Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even Psalm, lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and 24 the King of Glory shall come in.

9 & 10 Who is this King of Glory ? The Lord verses. of Hosts, he is the King of Glory.

Then the gate was shut, according to the words of Ezekiel.

" Then said the Lord unto me; This 44 Ch. gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, 2 ver. and no man shall enter in by it, because the Lord, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.”

He was then the greater light, which is as the sun, which rules the day.

(a) The day of Pentecost being set typical of the partial redemption of Israel, at the times when the fulness of the Gentiles are come in, to him that should be prepared for the fulness of the Spirit to rest on; then shall it bring them into the perfect law of liberty, James, 1st chapter, 25th verse. And it never left them, so that they valued not their lives unto death, but became martyrs, because the door was shut, till the fulness of times; and, in the Scriptures, they are called Saints of the Most High.

(6) The language of the speaker, and the language of the hearer being two different languages.

Eph. A Ch. 8, 11, & 12

“Wherefore, he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers : for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

6th ARTICLE.
The sixth Day. The fulness of times :

the gathering of Israel.
And now the last thousand years of the

Mark, six are come from the creation, and Je- 13 Ch sus said,

Except that the Lord had | 20 ver. shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect's sake whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.” (a)

And in the Prophets' language of 2 Pet. Scripture we are told, that “ One day 3 Ch. is with Jehovah as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”(6) And Jesus says,

66 And if he shall come Luke, in the second watch, or come in the 12 Ch. third watch, and find them so, blessed 38 ver. are those servants.”

Man is living in the third watch, and (a) And there is twenty-four hours to one day and night, being three watches, eight hours each watch; the last thousand years of the six being divided into three watches, three hundred and thirty-three years and four months to each watch, shews that man is now living in the third watch; or, there is twelve hours in a day, and according to the Hebrews four watches, three hours in each watch, and the last thousand years of the six, being divided into four watches, there is two hundred and fifty years in a watch, and man is now living in the fourth watch.

(6) Which six days are as six thousand years with God, before the bride be reinstated in the image of the bridegroom; but the time being shortened, the seventh day begins before the sixth be up, and Satan is let loose again when the thousand years are up.

is entered into the latter half of the watch.

And the spirit of truth is come according to the promise. “ Even the spirit of

John, truth, whom the world cannot receive, be- 14 Ch, cause it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; but ye know him, for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” And Israel shall know it “ And this Gospel of the kingdom,

Matt. shall be preached in all the world, for a 24 Ch. witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.'

And the same spirit is now gathering Israel, according to the prophecy of Jacob, “ The sceptre shall not depart from Gen. Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his 49 Ch. feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall | 10 ver, the gathering of the people be. (a) And according to the prophecy of Ísaiah “ And it shall come to pass, in that day, | 11 Ch. that the Lord shall set his hand again, the 11 &12 second time, to recover the remnant of his people. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah.

Then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. Which is at the fulness of times.

Behold, the Lion of the Tribe of Ju- Rev. da, the Root of David, hath prevailed | 5 Ch. .

(a) But at his first coming he dispersed them, but at his second coming he gathers them by a spiritual sceptre out of all nations, that they may become one nation : Numbers, 24th chapter, 11th verse: “Å sceptre shall rise out of Israel." Isaiah 11th chapter, 11th verse : “And gather together the dispersed of Judah.” And one Bridegroom and Bride, which the Spirit is the life of their bodies and not the blood, they being the new world, shall be over all the nations that are saved, blood being the life of them, they being the old world, which the pruned fig tree stood a figure of,
