throwing thy felf as a poor Sinner at his Foot for mercy But this is the Lord Jehovah, the mighty Spirit's work; it is he only that can give thee a due Sight and Senfe of thefe Things; it is he only that can enable thee thus to come unto Jef sChrift, and therefore thy Duty is to be diligent in the Ufe of the Means which the Lord hath appointed, and that is to lie under the Preaching of the Gofpel, where Chrift and Salvation by him is preach ed unto Sinners; which is the ordinary and ftanding Means appointed for Converfion: For Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing of the Word of God, Ifa. xxxii. 2. 2 Theff. i. 8. Rev. vi. 15. Rom, x, 17 hels more 177 John xvi. 8. Fifthly and Laftly, An Ufe of Confolation to the Saints. Is Is it fo that the Lord will come the fecond Time without Sin unto Salvation, as he will do unto you? Is it fo that he will come to fet up his Kingdom in the World, and that his Coming drawComet eth nigh, and is even at the Door, as has been proved Will the Lord Jefus Chrift come to be slo rified in the Saints, and admired in all them that be mor lieve? Has he made us kings and printensis no ens and mall we reign with him a thousand Tears? Shall we after this bleffed Meeting be for ever with the Lord, as has been expreffed What Cause is here then of Comfort? When the Apostle had been fpeaking of the glorious Coming of the Lord Jefs Chrift, with all that fleep in fefus, lays this down. as an Argument of Comfort to the Saints, the ving changed, as well as the Dead raised, both be ng caught up in the Clouds to meet the Lord in the Air Ball be for ever with ever with the Lord: Wherefore (faith He) Comfort ye one another with these Ikords.

Thefe Words, together with the Saints reigning a thousand Years in the Glory of Chrift's Visible Kingdom, do afford Matter of Comfort to the Chil dren of God, they fhall then be deliver'd out of all their Troubles. Sighing and Sorrow fhall, flee away, everlasting Foy fhall be upon their Heads, the Tabernacle of God fhall be with Men and be will dwell with them, the Glory of the Deity will confpicuoufly fhine forth in an unfpeakable Macner, through the human Nature of Chrift upon the Saints, which will ravifh their Hearts with unfpeakable Joy, when they fhall fee his Face, and behold his Glory: Then fhall, God wipe away all Tears from their Eyes, and fhall not return again any more for ever, neither fhall there be any more Death, nor Sorrow, nor Crying, nor any more Pain, they fhall eternally drink of the Pure River of the Water of Life, the Fountain of God's everlasting Love, which will run (without any Mixtures from Men), as clear as Chrystal, immediately proceeding out of the Throne of God, and the Lamb, there fhall be the Tree of Life in the midst of the Street 3 and on either fide of the River will the Fruit of the Tree of Life extend it felf, for all the Inhabitants of the new Ferufalem to feed upon: Which Tree of Life will bear twelve Manner of Fruit, to fhew the Variety of Joy, which like a River will fill and fatisfy their Hearts with Delight, and will yield its Fruit every Month, to fhew the Plenty thereof; here will be nothing wanting to compleat the foy and Happiness of the Saints unto an endless Eternity, and alfo to fignify that this Jey will be always new, it is expreffed, That the Leaves of the Tree were for the Healing of the Nations. Is not the Conderation of thefe Things and Faith to believe our Intereft in them, Matter and Cause of Joy Thef. 1.10. Heb.ix. 28. Rev. xx. 60cnTheff. iv 17. Rev. xxi. 3, 4. Rev. xxi, 2, 3, 4.

But in the mean time fo

his Son from Heaven ur Duty is, to wait

even Jefus who delivered us from Wrath to come, and to wait with a continual • Expectation, and an earneft Defire for his Coming, giving all Diligence to fee that we have Oyl in eur Veffels with our Lamps, that our Lamps may be burning, and our Lights fining, and we like-Men that are waiting for their Lord. Now to conclude with thefe Werds, in Luke xxi. 36. Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all thefe Things that hall come to pass, and to and before the Son of Man. And thou, O Lord, who teftifieth thefe Things, faith furely I come quickly. The Cry of our Souls is in all our Prayers, Amen, even fr come Lord Jefus.

Having gone through this Difcourfe, in the Proof both of the Certainty, and Manner of Chrift's Vifible Kingdom upon Earth, and that in its twofold Branches, Firft, Spiritual; Secondly, Perfonal: I defire the Reader to excufe my not being fo frict, as to Order, in the handling of this Point. First, Because I do not pretend to any fuch Thing; but only to give a plain Expofition upon fuch Texts which relate to the Kingdom of Chrift. Secondly, Becaufe I have not thofe acquired Abilities which fome other Men have. Thirdly, When I was upon a Text, I was willing to go through the Confideration of the Matter contained in it, tho one Part of the Prophecy might have a relation to one, and the other to the fecond Branch of THE Chrift's Kingdom; therefore, it is that I have (in the ar Proof of the Doctrine that the Lord Jefus Chrift will have a glorious Kingdom in this World) intermixd the Spiritual and Perfonal Kingdom and Reign of Chrift together: So likewife in fpeaking to the Manner of this Bleffed Kingdom, in its twofold Parts and Branches, I have alfo intermix'd fome of thofe Prophecies which more peculiarly relate unto the Spiritual Reign, in the Place where the perfect Perfonal Kingdom of Chrift is afferted. Again, Some of thofe Prophecies, which more peculiarly Refpect, the Perfonal Glory, are expreffed in that Part, where the Spiritual Kingdom of Chrift is treated of. Now the Reafon of this is, upon the Account of my being willing to go through the Confideration, or Expolition, of fuch a. Multitude of Scripture Prophecies, which had the Kingdom held forth in it, as they fell in my way, and as I was led and directed to them. Secondly, Because the Prophecies themfelyes are intermix'd, fome Part of them belonging to the firft, when the other Part fame Prophecy refpects the fecond Branch of the Kingdom of Chrift, as I have before obferved. Third

ly, Because fome of the Prophecies I find do relate both to the first and fecond Branch of that glorious State. Fourthly, have made fome Remarks upon many Places in this Difcourfe, efpecially in that Part which treats about the Manner of this promifed Glory, what Part of the Prophecy I did apprehend to relate unto the firft, and what unto the fecond Branch of this glorious Kingdom; and therefore this may eafity be corrected by the Reader. Fifthly, As to what I have faid concerning the Seals, Trumpets, and Vials, that they have not yet took Place in their Fulfilment, I defire to fubmit with humble Subjection unto others, and do acknowledge that fomething expreffed in then may have had their Fulfilment in Part, in fuch and fuch Ages, where vifible Changes and Alterations, by the *Judgments of God, have been made in the World; but that the Whole or Principal of what is contained in them, hath been poured out, I cannot yet believe: For we find, in Rev. xvi. 10, 11 that the Plague of noyfome Sores, in the firft Vial, doth affect the fame Perfons on whom the first Vial is poured out upon; fo that it is very likely that the fame Perfons, who are the Objects of one, may live to be the Objects of all thefe Plagues and Judgments, or they may all be poured out in one and the fame Age, that any of them begins to be fulfilled Befides, we do not find that the Vials are to be poured our until about the Time of the Jews Converfion, and are to make way for it. And therefore, as I faid, there will be a more visible and extraordinary Appearance of thefe Vials and Trumpets Mor the Judgments of God) when fulfilled, than ever yet hath been feen in the World.

Laftly, The whole being an Expofition of Scripture Prophecies, and there being fuch a Multitude of them in both Teftaments, (as hath been obferved) it doth certainly prove, what I have principally been fhewing, That the Lord Jefus Chrift will have a bleffed, glorious, and visible Kingdom in this World, in which he will reign with the Saints in the Time of the thoufand Years To xénmaM oft sunde nuidiamet FINIS
