Lord, and shall be fully fatisfy'd with the Glory of the Divine Presence, when others shall be ashamed. Ver. 1o, 13, 14. Then shall Jerusalem be glad, and all that love her fiall rejoice with her; when they shall fuck and be satisfy'd with the Breast of Divine Cunsolation; yea they shall milk cut and be delighted with the Abundance and Brightness of her Glory. For the Lord will extend at this time Peace unio Zion, like a River, and the Glory of the Gentile Saints, like an overflowing Stream ; They shall be born upon her Sides, and dandled upon her Knees. And as one whom his Mother comforteth, so and abundantly more will the Lord Jesus Christ comFort his Children. But where is this to be? It folJoweth, And they shall be comforted in Jerusalem; and therefore in this world. Now when the Saints shall see this, then their Hearts shall rejoice, and their very Bones shall flourish like a fruitful Herb : Then shall the Hand of the Lord, in Love and Dizine Power, be made known towards his Servants, in compleating of their Deliverance; and his Indignation unto his Enemies, in their utter Deftruétion: As the remaining part of the Chapter doth fully shew. Ifa. lxvi. 10, 11, 12.
Is not this theTime which the Lord hath spoken of, when Zion shall be built up and made glorious ? For the Lord Jehoval hath promised to build and beautify her again: She Mall be 'adorned with ber Taidet, and shall go forth in the Dances of them that make merry. Ter. xxxi. 4. Then shall the great Shepherd of the Sheep, the Lord Jesus Christ, who feels his Flock like a Shepherd, seek all his Shed and find them out, as a Shepherd seeketh out bis Flock, so will the Lord seek out his People, and
deliver them out of all Places, where they have been scattered in the Cloudy and Dark Day. Ezek. xxxiv. II, 12. Ard I will, saith the Lord, bring out my People, and gather them from all Countries phere they have been driven, and place them again in their own Land ; and they shall feed upon the Mountairs of Israel, by the Rivers of Water, in all the Inbalited Places of the Country. They shall feed in good and fat Paitures, and upon the Mountains of Ifrael fall their Fild be. And I will feed myFlock, and cause them to lie down, faith the Lord God. That which was left, and driven away, will be seek and bring back again; that which was broken will he bind up; and that which was fick sal be Atrengthened, Ver. 12, 13, 14. This doubtless doth respe& the wonderful Conversion and Flocking in both of Feps and Gentiles unto Chrift; and their being placed upon the Mountains in the Land of Ifrael, under the Care of this great Shepherd, the Lord Jefus, in the Time of this blessed Kingdom, For in that Day there shall be but one Shepherd over my People, even David my Servant, who fall feed them, and be their Prince for ever; for I the Lord am their God, which hath Spoken it. Ver. 23, 24. And I will make them, and the Places round about my Hill a Bleffing (that is Zion, the Church of God) and I will cause the Shower to come down in bis Scafon : There shall be Showers of Blessings. These showers of Bleffings will confist both of temporal and fpiritual Mercies, which will abundantly flow in upon the Saints, from the Fountain of Eternal Goodness. Then the Trees of the Field sliall yield their Fruit, and the Earth shall yield her Increase; and they fall be safe in their Land, and shall in a feeling experi
mental way, know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the Bands of their Yoke, and delivered them out of the Hands of all their Enemies, ver. 26, 27. Then it shall be said by all those who shall see what God hath done for Zion, as being filled with Wonder, Is not this Larid, that was like a defolate Wilderness, become like Eden, or like the Garden of the Lord? And all the Waste and Ruined Cities are become fenced and inhabited. Ezek. xxxvi. 35. Now the Saints shall know and be fully assured, that the Lord, or God in the Mediator's Person, doth dwell in the midst of them, even in Zion his boly Mountain, and therefore there shall be no Strangers pass through her, for to hurt or annoy her any more. Joel iii. 17. In that Day will the Lord raise ap the Tabernacles or Dwellings of David, which for a long time hath lain in its Ruins, and close up the Breaches thereof, as in the Days of old. For bebold the Days come, faith the Lord, that the Plowman fhall overtake the Reaper, and the Treader of Grapes him that soweth Secd; to signify the wonderful Fertility and Increase of all temporal and spiri. tual Good : When the Mountains of Chrift's Kingdom shall drop with New Wine, and all the Hills Shall melt with Sweetness, Amos ix, 11, 13. These will be the last Days. when the Mountain of the Lord's House, or the Kingdom of Chrift, fall be established, and exalted above all Mountains and Hills of earthly Kingdoms or Powers; and People from all Parts and Places shall flow in unto Zion : Tea many Nations shall come ( those that the Spirit Grace is poured upon ) and say, Come, let us go up to the glorious Mountain of the Lord, and to the House of the God of Jacob (the Reason is given
why so many come) for he will teach us of his Ways, and we will walk in his Paths : Whose Ways are Ways of Pleasantness, and all his Paths are Paths of Peace : Then the Law of Rule fall go forth out of Zion, and the Word of mighty Grace from Jerusalem. And he (that is Chrift) shall judge among many people (in Righteousness) and, by his Divine Power, shall rebuke strong Nations afar off, who at the Beginning of this glorious Day, may endeavour to moleft the Saints : But after this Time is over, then they shall beat their Swords into Plow-fbares, and their Spears into Pruning Hooks . Because Nation shall not then lift a Sword against Nition, neither all the Saints learn War any more. But they shall fit every Man in Peace under his own Vixe, and with Joy under their own Fig-tree: The Reason is, Aid ibere shall be none to make them afraid for the Mouth of the Lord of Hosts hath [poken it. Which shews the Certainty of this Glory promised unto Zion, and also that this Time is yet to come, Micah iv. 1, 2, 3, 4. Again in Ver. 6, 7. you have this glorious Kingdom expressed with great Plainness : In that Day, Jaith the Lord, I will assemble ber that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have affitted ; and will 'make ber that balted a Rimnant, and her that was caft far off, a strong Nation : And the Lord fall reign over them in Mount Zion (that is in Jerusalem) from henceforth even for ever : From the time of the Spirit's Pouring down, in the Conversion of Jews and Gentiles, and their being gathered together in their own Land, will the Lord reign: First, By his Spirit : Secondly, In his Personal Glory. Then it Thall be faid, And thou, O Tower of the Flock,
the ftrong Hold of the Daughter of Zion (that is the Lord Jefus, who is the Tower of the Flock, and the only strong Hold of the Saints) unto thee fall it come even the First Dominion, the Kingdom fball come to to the Daughter of Jerusalem. This Kingdom is first to be given by the Father unto Christ, and from him to the Saints. In Zeph. iii. 3. we read what a terrible Time this will be into the Wicked and Ungodly; and therefore we are exhorted to wait 21pon the Lord, until the Day that he shall rise up to the Prey : For his Determination is to gather the Nations, and assemble the Kingdom, that he may pour up07 them all bis Indignation, even his fierie Anger. Because all the Earth (that is the Wicked in the Earth) fall be devoured with the Fire of his Fealozfy. But in Verse 9. we have a gracious Promise, For then will I turn to the People a pure Language, that they may call upon the Name of the Lord, to serve him with one Consent. Then shall all the Saints speak Canaan's Language, which will be pure, spiritual, and divine, without any Mixtures of Ashdod. And then fball they call upon God in the Mediator, that they may serve him with one Heart, and carry on the work of the Lord with one Shoulder, as the Word signifies. Verse 12. For from beyond the · River Ethiopia mall the Lords Supplicants come, even the Daughters of bis Dispersed fall bring the Freemill Offering unto Zion. This will cause the L'aughters of Israel to sing and shout aloud for Joy; yea they shall be glad and rejoice with their whole Hearts in that Day, even the Daughters of Ferdisalem; because the Lord hath removed Trouble far from them, and hath cast out or destroyed their Enemies; and because the King of Ifrael, Jesus
