of the Land of Promise, shall be married. For the Lord thy Maker (God in Chrift) is, and in that Day will appear to be thine everlafting Husband. But this must be referr'd unto the time of Chrift's Perfonal Coming from Heaven, when there fhall be an open and visible Solemnization of the Marriage Glory, betwixt Chrift and the Spouse. Then as a Bridegroom that rejoiceth over the Bride, fo fhall they God, and infinitely more rejoice in thee. V. 4, 5. Behold the Lord hath proclaimed this, or in that Day it fhall be proclaimed to the very Ends of the World, that the Salvation and Deliverance of Zion now is come. Behold his Reward is with him for to give unto every one of all the Saints; and his Work before bim, vifible in the open View of Heaven and Earth, for all to fee what God hath done, and, in the Kingdom of Chrift, will do for his People. Then fhall the Saints be called Holiness unto the Lord, and the Redeemed of the Blood of Fefus: They fhall be called, Sought out (infinite Love and eternal Grace hath fought them out in Election) which fhall appear as a Glorious City, New Jerufalem, never to be forfaken. Verfe 11, 12. Again in Ifaiah lxv. 9. we read that the Lord will bring forth a Seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an Inheritor of his holy Mountains: Which must be understood of Chriff, who fprang from Judah's Loins, and the Saints that are in union with him: Thefe are they that fhall inherit the Mountains of Chrift's Kingdom. and his Servants fhall dwell there. Then Sharon, which is a Fruitful and Beautiful Place, fhall be a Fold for the Flocks of Saints to feed and lie down in : And in the Valley of Achor fall a Door of Hope be opened for all thofe who have fincerely fought the

Lord,

Lord, and fhall be fully fatisfy'd with the Glory of the Divine Prefence, when others fhall be afhamed. Ver. 10, 13, 14. Then fhall Jerufalem be glad, and all that love her fhall rejoice with her; when they fhall fuck and be fatisfy'd with the Breaft of Divine Confolation; yea they fhall milk out and. be delighted with the Abundance and Brightness of her Glory. For the Lord will extend at this time Peace unto Zion, like a River, and the Glory of the Gentile Saints, like an overflowing Stream: They fhall be born upon her Sides, and dandled upon ber Knees. And as one whom his Mother comforteth, fo and abundantly more will the Lord Jefus Chrift comFort bis Children. But where is this to be? It followeth, And they fhall be comforted in Jerufalem; and therefore in this World. Now when theSaints fhall fee this, then their Hearts fhall rejoice, and their very Bones fhall flourish like a fruitful Herb: Then fhall the Hand of the Lord, in Love and Divine Power, be made known towards his Servants, in compleating of their Deliverance; and his Indignation unto his Enemies, in their utter Deftrution: As the remaining part of the Chapter doth fully fhew. Ifa. lxvi. 10, 11, 12.

Is not this the Time which the Lord hath fpokenof, when Zion fhall be built up and made glorious? For the Lord Jehovah hath promifed to build and beautify her again: She hall be adorned with ber Tabret, and shall go forth in the Dances of them that make merry. Jer. xxxi. 4. Then fhall the great Shepherd of the Sheep, the Lord JesusChrift, who feeds his Flock like a Shepherd, feek all his Sheep and find them out, as a Shepherd feeketh out bis Flock, fo will the Lord feek out his People, and

deliver

deliver them out of all Places, where they have been fcattered in the Cloudy and Dark Day. Ezek. xxxiv. 11, 12. And I will, faith the Lord, bring out my People, and gather them from all Countries where they have been driven, and place them again in their own Land; and they shall feed upon the Mountairs of Ifrael, by the Rivers of Water, in all the Inhabited Places of the Country. They fhall feed in good and fat Paftures, and upon the Mountains of Ifrael fhall their Fold be. And I will feed my Flock, and cause them to lie down, faith the Lord God. That which was left, and driven away, will be feek and bring back again; that which was broken will he bind up; and that which was fick fhall be Arengthened, Ver. 12, 13, 14. This doubtless doth refpect the wonderful Converfion and Flocking in both of Jews and Gentiles unto Chrift; and their being placed upon the Mountains in the Land of Ifrael, under the Care of this great Shepherd, the Lord Jefus, in the Time of this bleffed Kingdom. For in that Day there fhall be but one Shepherd ver my People, even David my Servant, who fall feed them, and be their Prince for ever; for I the Lerdam their God, which hath Spoken it. Ver. 23, 24. And I will make them, and the Places round about my Hill a Blefing (that is Zion, the Church of God) and I will caufe the Shower to come down in his Scafon: There fhall be Showers of Bleffings. Thefe Showers of Bleffings will confift both of temporal and fpiritual Mercies, which will abundantly flow in upon the Saints, from the Fountain of Eternal Goodness. Then the Trees of the Field fall yield their Fruit, and the Earth fhall yield her Increase; and they fhall be fafe in their Land, and fhall in a feeling experi

mental way, know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the Bands of their Toke, and delivered them out of the Hands of all their Enemies, ver. 26, 27. Then it fhall be faid by all thofe who shall fee what God hath done for Zion, as being filled with Wonder, Is not this Land, that was like a defolate Wilderness, become like Eden, or like the Garden

the Lord? And all the Wafte and Ruined Cities are become fenced and inhabited. Ezek. xxxvi. 35. Now the Saints fhall know and be fully affured, that the Lord, or God in the Mediator's Perfon, doth dwell in the midst of them, even in Zion his holy Mountain; and therefore there fhall be no Strangers pafs through her, for to hurt or annoy her any more. Joel iii. 17. In that Day will the Lord raife up the Tabernacles or Dwellings of David, which for a long time hath lain in its Ruins, and close up the Breaches thereof, as in the Days of old. For bebold the Days come, faith the Lord, that the Plowman fball overtake the Reaper, and the Treader of Grapes him that foweth Seed; to fignify the wonderful Fertility and Increase of all temporal and fpiritual Good: When the Mountains of Chrift's Kingdom fhall drop with New Wine, and all the Hills fhall melt with Sweetness, Amos ix. 11, 13. These will be the laft Days. when the Mountain of the Lord's Houfe, or the Kingdom of Chrift, fhall be eftablished, and exalted above all Mountains and Hills of earthly Kingdoms or Fowers; and People from all Parts and Places fhall flow in unto Zion: Tea many Nations fall come (thofe that the Spirit Grace is poured upon) and fay, Come, let us go up to the glorious Mountain of the Lord, and to the Houfe of the God of Jacob (the Reafon is given

why

why fo many come) for he will teach us of his Ways, and we will walk in his Paths: Whofe Ways are Ways of Pleasantnefs, and all his Paths are Paths of Peace Then the Law of Rule fhall go forth out of Zion, and the Word of mighty Grace from Jerufalem. And he (that is Chrift) fhall judge among many People (in Righteoufness) and, by his Divine Power, fhall rebuke ftrong Nations afar off, who at the Beginning of this glorious Day, may endeavour to moleft the Saints: But after this Time is over, then they shall beat their Swords into Plow-fhares, and their Spears into Pruning Hooks. Becaufe Nation fhall not then lift a Sword against Nation, neither fall the Saints learn War any more. But they hall fit every Man in Peace under his own Vine, and with Joy under their own Fig-tree: The Reafon is, And there shall be none to make them afraid for the Mouth of the Lord of Hofts hath Spoken it. Which fhews the Certainty of this Glory promised unto Zion, and alfo that this Time is yet to come, Micah iv. 1, 2, 3, 4. Again in Ver. 6, 7. you have this glorious Kingdom expreffed with great Plainnefs: In that Day, faith the Lord, I will affemble ber that balteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; and will make her that halted a R. mnant, and her that was caft far off, a ftrong Nation: And the Lord fhall reign over them in Mount Zion (that is in Ferufalem) from henceforth even for ever: From the time of the Spirit's Pouring down, in the Converfion of Fews andGentiles, and their being gathered together in their own Land, will the Lord reign: First, By his Spirit Secondly, In his Perfonal Glory. Then it fhall be faid, And thou, O Tower of the Flock,
