the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ, at the founding of the 7th Angol; when it was so, under this Confideration, many hundreds and fome thousands of Years before the 7th Angel founded. Again, it cannot be understood of a Kingdom in Eternal ( lory, because we no where read in the whole Book of God, that the Kingdom of Glory in Heaven is any where called the Kingdoms of this World. Besides that Kingdom cannot be said to be come the Kingdoms of our Lord, which is to be given and deliver'd up by Christ, after the Last Judgment, - unto God the Father. Therefore the Kingdoms that are at this time to become the King, doms of our Lord and his Christ, are, as it is very full in the Text, the Kingdoms of this World: Pray do but mind that Expression, This World. This World in which we live, which is now divided and subdivided into many Kingdoms and Provinces, will become at the 7th Angel's founding, one entire Kingdom of the Mediator. .

3dly, The Kingdom of this world is not to become the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ, until the founding of the 7th Angel. The 7th Angel sounded, and there were great Voices in Heaven, say, ing, The Kingdoms of this World are become the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Christ. But fome may object, and say, Are they not his Kingdomnis nov? Verily they are, and so he is Lord of Lords now, and King of Kings ; yet he does not fhew himself to be fo, as he will do in his Times : Who Mall shev himself in his Times to be the only Potentate, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, 1 Tim.vi. 15: The Kingdoms of this world are his now, and be bath right to them: But they do not yet appear

to be his, as they will when the 7th Angel shall
begin to sound ; then they will actually, openly,

vilibly, and gloriously appear, in the open Face of - Heaven and Earth, to become the Kingdoms of cur

Lord and his Christ. This Word Our Lord and his
Christ, does thew that he will not only reign as :;;

Man, but as God, or as God Man Mediator : He i will manifest and display the Glory of his eternal

Deity in his Kingdom : God now in a peculiar way

wili tabernacle with Men, and he will dwell with fit them, Rev. xxi, 3. So that the Kingdoms of this e World, are not yet, in this Sense, but certainly

will become the Kingdoms of our Lord and his
Christ, as soon as ever the 7th Angel begins to
found. Then loud I'roclamations will be made, in
the Heavens or Churches of Christ, by an innume-
rable Company of Saints and Angels (fo loud as
will make Heaven and Earth to ring) saying, The
Kingdams of this World are become into his actual
possession) the Kingdoms of our Lord and his Chrift.

Fourthly, The Time when the 7th Angel will be
gin to found : And that will not be until Time fall
bave an end, and the Mysteries of God and his King-
dom shall begin to be accomplished, as has been declared
to his Servants the Prophets, Rev. x. 7. In speaking
to this I shall b.iefly touch upon the preceding
Verse, v. 1. And I saw another mighty Angel (as
differing from all the rest) come dowi from Heaven,
cloathed with a Cloud, and a Rainbow was upon his
Head; and his Face as 'iwere the Sun, and his Feet as
Pillars of Fire. Who can this mighty Angel be but
Christ, the Angel of the Covenant? Which is für
ther signified, First, From the distinguishing Cha-
facter, as, Another nighty Angel. Though others

are great and mighty, yet this is diftinguished from them as being more eminently fo. 2dly, In his Coming down from Heaven ; which agrees unto his

2d Coming. Thirdly, His being cloathed with a · Cloud, and it being said, He shall come with the

Clouds of Heaven. Fourthly, His having a Rainbow upon his Head, which is the Token of God's Covenant with him; the Covenant of free and absolute Grace, made with Cbrift on the behalf of his People. This will be seen by all the Saints in that Day of his glorious Appearance: They shall then have a clear Sight of that Covenant, which will appear in open Face, on the Head of Christ, for them to look npon, to see their Interest and eternal Happiness secured in it. Fiftbly, His Face will shine as the Sun, to denote the Brightness, Beauty, Lustre, and Glory, that will appear in Chrift, and cast its ravishing Beams of Glory and Sweetness upon the Hearts of all the Saints, to enlighten, warm, comfort, and eternally ravish their Souls. If it be a pleasant thing for the Eyes now to behold the natural Sun : Oh how pleasant must it be for the Saints to behold that glorious Sun of Righteousness, the Lord Jesus Chrift, in that Day when there shall be nothing seen by them but Love, eternal Love and Sweetness shining in his Face. 6thly, And his Feet as Pillars of Fire. How does this agree with the Description of Christ both in Daniel and in the ift of Revelations, to signifie how terrible Christ will be at that time, unto all his Enemies, by trampling upon, and burning up the Ungodly, Christ's Face will not be so glorious to the Saints, but his Feet will be as dreadful to the Wicked. 7thly, And be had in bis Hand a little Book open,

Sure

warm, ca pleasant thingh how pleala Sun of Righ.

Sure then this can be no other but the Lord Fėjus Christ, that Lion of the Tribe of Juda, who only was found worthy to take the Book, to unloose the Seals, and to open the Mysteries thereof. What is this Book then in Christ's Hand, but the Book of God? Containing or comprehending all the Mysteries of Creation and Divine Providence, the My-. steries of Election, Redemption, and the Kingdom Glory, called the Mysteries of the Kingdom. This Book is said to be open at this Time of Christ's def. cending from Heaven; to fhew that all the Mystem : ries of God, of the Father, ard of Christ ; yea all the Mysteries of Salvation, will be opened, revealed, and unfolded, by Christ to the Saints, in that Day. Eighthly, And he set his Right Foot upon the Sea, and bis Left Foot on the Earth. This doubtless does denote the absolute Power and sovereign Authority of Christ over the whole World ; the Earth and Sea making up but one Globe. Nintbly, And he cry'd with a loud voice, as when a Lion roareth. This Voice will be so loud, as will make the Dead to hear it and come forth; fo terrible to the Wicked, as will make them call to the Rocks and Mountains to fall upon them and hide them from this Lion of the Tribe of Fuda. Tenthly, And when he had cried, Seven Thunders uttered their toices. What these Seven Thunder's be, or the Matter contained in the Voices which these Seven Thunders uttered, we must be willing to remain in silence, because when John was about to write what was express'd by the 7 Thunders, he beard a Voice from Heaven saying unto him Seal up thosethings which the Seven Thunders ittered, avd write them not. From whence we may observe that God in his infinite Wisdom sees it meet

that

that some things which he will do when he comes
to set up his Kingdom, should be hid and kept ser
cret until the time of the End, until the Open
ing of the Vision. These Seven Thunders may con-
tain in them fome of those strange things which
the Lord will do in that great Day pben befall
come to do his Work, his strange Work, and bring
to pass bis A&s, his strange Axts, Isa, xxviii. 21.
Eleventhly and lastly, Then it followeth in the 5th
and 6th Verse, Ard the Angel which I saw stand up-
on the Sea and upon the Earth. This great, this
wonderful, this mighty Angel, this. Angel of the
Covenant) lifted up his Hand to Heaven, to fhew
the Solemnity of the Act which he was now about,
and sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who
created Heaven and the things that therein are; and
the Earth and the things that therein are; and the Sea
aud the things which are therein; tbat there should be
Time no longer. This seems to me to carry another
Argument, , that by this Angel Christ niust be un-
derstood, being represented to Fobn in Vision. As
to the manner how he will appear when he shall
come down personally from Heaven ; and what it
is that he will do upon his first descending : And
that is his swearing with his Hand lift up to Heaven
(as the manner of Swearing then was) by him that
liveth for ever and ever, who is the Lord Jehovah,
Creatiñ of all things in Heaven, Earth, and Sear it
And therefore shews the Certainty of what is here
sworn to; and that is that Time should be no longer;
not only the Time allowed all for the Continuance
of the Roman Empire, the Last of the Four Mom
marchies Mould be no longer ; but all Time relating
to the Time of this World sball be no longer ; that
