dom, fhall be given to the People of the Saints of the Moft High; for they fhall fit with Chrift upon Thrones, to judge the World of wicked Men and fallen Angels, I Cor. vi. 2, 3. Do ye not knowthat the Saints fhall judge the World? Know ye not that we fall judge Angels? How much more things that pertain to this Life? Then will the Mountain of the Lord's Houfe (which is the Church of God) be exalted and established upon the Top of all Mountains and Hills of all worldly Powers; Then the Law of Power, Rule, and Government, hall go forth out of Sion, and the Word of Grace and Mercy from Ferufalem, Mic. iv. 1, 2.

Fifthly, The Place where this Kingdom is to be. erected, poffeffed, and enjoyed? Which is the principal Point my Thoughts are fix'd upon, in the Handling of this Difcourfe, and that is under the whole Heaven. What Words can exprefs the Vifibility and Glory of Chrift's Kingdom, with the Saints, in this World, more than thefe do? You may read the Words again (and the Lord help the Reader ferioufly to confider what he reads) And the Kingdom, and Dominion, and Greatness of the Kingdom, under the whole Heaven, fhall be given to the People of the Saints of the Muft High, &c. Doth not the Spirit of God fpeak in thefe Words, as plain as poffibly Words can be spoke for our Understanding? That we might not mistake the Meaning of the Holy Ghoft, and take this Kingdom for the Kingdom of the Ultimate Glory, in the eternal Heavens; he faith exprefly, that it fhall be, in refpect of Place, under the whole Heaven. This is not then to be understood (as fome would carry it) In; but Under the whole Heaven: Mind that Expreffion, Not under

fome

fome part, but under the whole Heaven; which fhews that it fhall extend it felf over all the World. Is it not wonderful then, that any of the People of God fhould call this precious Truth of Chrift's Kingdom into question; when the Spirit of God hath fo fully exprefs'd himfelf, in a multitude of Places? And in this Text fo clearly, as that there will be a Kingdom given to the Saints; and that this Kingdom, for the Glory and Excellency of it, is fet forth by fuch great Expreflions as, The Kingdom, the Dominion, and the Greatness of the Kingdom, &c. What other Interpretations can Perfons pretend to give upon fo clear a Scripture, that this fhould not be the Meaning of the Words? A Spiritual Kingdom it cannot be, for the Reafons aforegiven: Neither can it be referr'd to the State of the Saints in the Ultimate Glory; because the Words in the Text (as has been obferved) contradicts that Expofition, which faith not In, but Un-. der the whole Heaven.

Sixthly and Laftly, The Duration of this Kingdom, and how it is contemporary with the Kingdom of Chrift, is exprefs'd in that Word; Whofe Kingdom is an Everlasting Kingdom: And all Dominion fhall ferve and obey him. As to the Duration of this bleffed State, and how this Kingdom is faid to be everlasting, I have already explain'd; and there fore need fpeak no more to that. Secondly, All Dominion fhall ferve and obey him. The Perfon here Specify'd, that all Dominion fhall ferve and obey, is the Lord Jefus Chrift; it being agreeable to thofe Words in Phil.ii. 10. Wherefore God alfo bath highly exalted him,and given hima Name which is above every Name That at the Name of Jefus every Knee shall

bow,

bow; of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the Earth; and that every Tongue hall confefs that Fefus Chrift is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father. This fhews that God the Father bath exalted Chrift, and given him a Name above every Name, that every Knee fhould bow to him, whether of Things or Perfons in Heaven, Earth, or under the Earth For certain it is that they do not yet bow to him; and every Tongue doth not yet confefs, that Jefus Chrift is Lord. But the Time is coming, that eve ryKnee ball bow to him, and everyTongue fhall confefs, that Jefus Chrift is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father, So in the Text all Dominions have not, neither do yet ferve and obey him: But when the Kingdom and the Dominion comes to be put into the hands of the Saints, then it is that they fhall ferve and obey him.

Well then! Thefe Words do fhew what I before hinted, that the Kingdom of Chrift and the Saints, will begin, endure, and continue together, as one entire Kingdom of the Mediator, which is very obfervable in thefe Words, when the Spirit of God had afferted, that the Kingdom and the Dominion, and the Greatness of the Kingdom under the whole Heaven, fhould be given to the People of the Saints of the Moft High, immediately changes his Words from them to him, from the Saints to Chrift, in faying that all Dominion fhall ferve and obey him:Wherein the Holy Ghoft does as it were point out to us the very Perfon who is to be King in this univerfal Kingdom (which will extend it felf over all the Earth) unto whom all Wifdom, Glory, Power, and eternal Praife, will be given by Saints and Angels, for ever. But it may be objected, Shall not all the Saints be Kings in that Day? It is

true, they fhall, being made Kings and Priefts unto Col; they fhall reign with Chrift, in the actual Poffeffion and Enjoyment of this glorious Kingdom: But what then? Christ will be the King of Saints, as well as the King of Nations, that in all things, or above all things, he may have the prebeminence: For as the Lord Jefus Chrift is now King of Kings; by whom it is that Kings reign, and Princes decree fuftice, Prov. viii. 15, fo he will fhew himfelf in that Day, as it is in the Firft of Tim. vi. 15. Which in hisTimes shall fhew who is the blessed and only Potentate the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.

Now after all thefe clear Texts of Scripture, and evident Demonftrations that the Spirit of God hath given,in afcertaining of Chrift's bleffed Kingdom with the Saints, in this World; befides the particular Obfervations that have been briefly hinted from them: I fay, after all this, they who remain Oppofers of this Doctrine, it is well if they do not fall under that fharp Cenfure of the Holy Ghoft, by the Apoftle Peter, in the Second of Ephefians, iii. 5, as being willingly ignorant, that by the Word of God the Heavens were of old, and the Earth ftanding out of the Water, and in the Water, &c. Thefe Perfons were willingly, if not wilfully ignorant, or at leaft willing to be ignorant what Changes there had been in the World by the Flood, and how that was but a Type of what a Change the Fire of the Laft Day will make, in burning up and refining of this • World that now is; when the Lord will come in Flames of Fire, to render Vengeance upon the Ungedly: It is well, I fay, ifthey are not like these, willingly, or willing to be ignorant, about thefe great things which God hath declared in his blef

fed Word. Sure it would be much better, and more honourable, to be like the noble Bereans, to fearch the Scriptures, whether these things be fo or no. If God doth nothing in vain, then it is not in vain that all these Teftimonies concerning the Latter Day Glory, and Chriff's Kingdom, are left upon record; which the Word of God is fo full for Proof, both in the Old and New Teftament..
