tually benefit one another; and he has done it in such a way as not to supercede the necessity of our own private prayers and exertions for our own selves. Let us then pray one for another, humbly depending upon the gracious promises of God, that our intercessions will avail much.

Praper.

O Almighty and eternal God, who hast commanded that as children of one great family, we should pray one for another, we beseech thee mercifully to hear our prayers, which we now offer up to thee in behalf of our fellow brethren of mankind.

O God Almighty and most merciful, let thy fatherly kindness be upon all whom thou hast made.

We pray thee for all those who art yet ignorant of their own hearts, of thee and thy holy religion.

Hear the prayers of all that call upon theeopen the eyes of the blind pour the spirit of

prayer into the hearts of those who never pray for themselves-pity the sighs of them that are in misery-deal mercifully with them that are in darkness.

Gracious God, look down in mercy upon the miserable case of those who are living in sin, and after the course of this world.

Touch their hearts most powerfully from above, that they may see, ere it be too late, the danger of living without God in the worldgive them a true sense and knowledge of all their sins, and true repentance for them, that they may be done away by thy mercy, and their pardon sealed in heaven before they go hence, and be no more seen.

Give unto all sinners, a true sense of their unhappy state, and grace and strength to break their bonds.

Have mercy upon, and reclaim all that are engaged in sinful courses, in youthful lusts, in unchristian quarrels, and in unrighteous law. suits.

O Lord, let all that sincerely seek the truth, be led into it by thy holy spirit, and to all such as are destitute of necessary instruction, vouchsafe a greater share of thy grace.

Enlighten the minds and pardon the sins of all who err through simplicity.

Direct all that are in doubt, and all that seek the truth.

Lord Jesus conduct all poor, blind, wander. ing sinners, in the way of light and peace everlasting.

We pray O Lord, for all who are in distress of any kind.

Be gracious unto all that are in affliction of mind or body, or under any pressing calamity; all desolate widows and fatherless children; all call upon thee in their distress, and have none else to help them.

Have mercy, and bestow comfort upon all that are troubled in mind or conscience; all that are in danger of falling into despair; all

that are in any dangerous error; all that are in prison, in slavery, and under persecution in a righteous cause; all that are in any distress. whatever, that all may improve under their suf ferings.

Sanctify the miseries of this life to the everLasting benefit of those who suffer.

In tender mercy remember all sick and dying persons, that they may omit nothing that is necessary to make their peace with thee.

We pray also for thy poor members upon

earth.

Support them, O blessed Jesus, under all their difficulties, and sanctify their bodily wants to the salvation of their souls.

Let these poor people have thy grace, whatever else may be denied them.

Lord grant that they may bear their poor estate with patience and resignation, and may it help to increase their happiness hereafter, and

may we all one day meet in the paradise of God.

We pray also for our enemies, not for vengeance, but for mercy, that thou would change their hearts by thy grace, or restrain their malice by thy power.

May we ever remember thy goodness, thy patience, thy mercy towards us, and the multitude of our offenses against thee, that we may from our hearts, forgive all who have offended

us.

Pour down also, thy choicest benedictions upon our friends, relations and neighbours; bless them in every circumstance and relation of life: above all, sanctify their hearts by thy grace, and bless them with everlasting salvation.

We pray thee O Lord, for all public authorities, that they may govern with truth, justice and piety; and that those whose duty it is to obey, may do it for conscience sake, all aoting as in the sight of God.
