9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: 1 have not sent them, saith the LORD.

10 For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon 1 wilt visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and 1 will hearken unto you.

13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

15 Because ye have said, The LORD bath raised us up prophets in Babylon; 16 Know that thus saith the LORD, of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your bre thren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

24¶ Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nebelamite, saying,

23 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israe!, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseial the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

26 The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, or every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

97 Now therefore, why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

28 For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

29 And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

30 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiab, saying,

31 Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concern ing Shemaiab the Nebelamite: Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied anto you, and I sent him not, and be caused you to trust in a lie:

20 Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

21 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiab, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall Glay them before your eyes;

THE word that came to Jeremiata

from the LORD, saying,

2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.

3 For lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that 1 gave to their fathers, and they shall pos sess it.

4 And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.,

5 For thus saith the LORD; We have beard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace.

8 For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him;

9 But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for lo, 1 will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him

afraid.

THE word that came to Jeremiah

Jeremiah's prayer

13 And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

14 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the chase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may co tinue many days.

For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem; and Jeremiab the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.

3 For Zedekiah king of Judah bad shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and be shall take it ;

4 And Zedekiah king of Judah sball not escape out of the hand of the) Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes:

5 And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall be be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye tight with the Chaldeans,ve shall not prosper. 6 And Jeremiah said, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

8 So Hanameel inine uncle's son came to me in the court of the prison, according to the word of the LORD, and said unto me, Buy my field, pray thee, that is in Anatboth, which ir in the country of Benjamin: for the right of inheritance is thine, and the redemption is thine: buy it for thyself. Then I knew that this was the word of the LORD.

9 And bought the field of Hanameel my uncle's son, that was in Anathoth, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

10 And I subscribed the evidence, and sealed it, and took witnesses, and weighed him the money in the baJances.

11 So I took the evidence of the purchase, both that which was sealed according to the law and custom, and that which was open.

12 And I gave the evidence of the purchase unto Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Masseiah, in the sight of Hanameel mine uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses that sub
