wife after Supper he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, faying, Drink ye all of this; for this is my blood of the New Teftament, which is fhed for you and many for the remiffion of fins: Do this, as often as you fhall drink it, in remembrance of me. Amen.

Luth. Hah, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, a, a, a! He, he, he, he, he, he, he, e, e, e! Drollery upon drollery, and all is drollery, faith the Preacher. If I am not relieved, I certainly fhall fplit my fides, or be choaked with fat. The wind-pipe wheezes for want of breath. I fhall die at laft with the connundrums and low quib bles of the Calvinifts, the low cunning and fneering faces, mouths awry, and fquint eye; O leprofy, barnacle, or leech-craft criminals, plagues of Egypt entering into our inward receffes, of hearts and minds; and, like highwaymen or footpads, not only picking our pockets, but our fouls, of our virgin-gold, and, with a fneer, infect and oblige us to receive, by their fubtilty and fal lacious fophiftry, in lieu, their counterfeit coin. What puzzles, is to fearch out this counterfeit, up to its fountain-head, whereby we may be enabled to enact proper rods to fcourge, and lay bare, with breeches down, fel ool-boy like, both backs and bums, to the infpection of his Majefty's liege fubjects, who, by a front and full afpect, view the fhame, we prize, and make our glory and boaft.

Boy.

Boy. 50 Pfalm. The Lord, even the most mighty God hath fpoken, and called the world, from the rifing of the fun unto the going down thereof; out of Sion hath God appeared in perfect beauty. He fhall call the heaven from above: and the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my faints together unto me; thofe that have made a covenant with me with facrifice. Alfo Malachi, chap. i. I have no pleasure in you, (the Jewifh facrifice) faith the Lord of Hofts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand. For from the rifing of the fun even unto the going down of the fame, my name fhall be great: among the Gentiles: and in every place incenfe fhall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name fhall be great among the Gentiles, faith the Lord of Hoffs.

Mof. Thefe are Scripture-promises to the new covenant of the Meffiah, which you claim, in the perfon of Jefus Chrift and his Chriftianity. Ifrael knows, by repeated admonitions and commands, that the contract betwixt the Creator and creature, and feal of Priesthood, have the requifites and qualities of a facrament.

Luth. Our Rubric requires two effentials or parts. An outward and vifible fign of an inward and fpiritual grace. Your Scriptures are extraordinary lavifh, to a profufion, both outwardly and inwardly, on the Jewish Priesthood; fo that you have no lack. So be it.

Boy. The Scriptures quoted are prophefies and promifes to the Meffiah and his covenant. If the character of Prieft in the old covenant be raised

raifed to the dignity of a facrament, because the Scriptures declare it, why not the character of Prieft in the new covenant, having the teltimony of both covenants.

Behold

Mof. Neither, Jews or Chriftians, from the beginning to this day. ever denied a fuperior and more perfect flate to the character of Prieft under the new law, being under, the immediate tuition of the Meffiah, and dignified, according to the Scripture promifes, to a more fublime, fpiritual, and exalted ftate, Malachi, chap. ii. fpeaking of the Priesthood under the Melliah. I will fend my meffenger, and he fhall prepare the way before me and the Lord, whom ye feek, fhall fuddenly come to his temple, even the meffenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in, behold he fhall come, faith the Lord of Hofts, and he fhall fit as a refiner, and purifier of filver, and he fhall purify the fons of Levi, and purge them as gold and filver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteoufnels. But who may abide the day of his coming? and who fhall ftand when he appeareth? For he is like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's fope."

Luth. The Lord faid unto my Lord: fit thou on my right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footftool. The Lord fhall fend the rod of thy power out of Sion; be thou ruler, even in the midft of thy enemies. In the day of thy power fhall the people offer thee, free-will offerings, with an holy worthip. The Lord fware, and will not repent: Thou art a Prieft for ever after the or

Boy. Matthew, chap x. And when Chrift, our Meffiah, had called his twelve difciples together, he gave them power over unclean fpirits, to caft them out, and to heal ali manner of difeafes, and all manner of fickneffes. Now the names of the twelve Apoftles are thefe: Simon firft who is called Peter, &c. Thefe twelve Jefus fent, and commanded them faying: Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into the cities of the Samaritans enter not: but go rather to the loft fheep of the houfe of Ifrael, and go preach, faying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the fick, raife the dead, cleanfe the lepers, caft out devils: freely have you received, freely give.-And when you come into a houfe, falute it, faying: Peace be to the houfe. And if that house be worthy, your peace fhall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace fhall return to you. And whofoever fhall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that houfe or city, fhake off the dult from feet. your Amen, I fay to you, it fhall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha, in the day of judgment, than for that city. Chap. xiii. To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; but to them (the Jews) it is not given. Therefore do I fpeak to them in parables: becaufe feeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. Chap. xvi. And Jefus answered and faid to him: Bleffed art thou Simon-bar-Jona: because flesh and blood

And I fay to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell hall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatfoever thou fhalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound allo in heaven: and whatfoever thou fhalt loose upon earth, it shall be loofed alfo in-hea

Mof. Peter is raifed and placed in the fupreme Chair, in the chriflian covenant or Church, as Aaron in the Jewish or first covenant; fo that upon the fuppofition that Jefus is the Chrift. Peter and his fucceffors are placed by their Meffiah in the fupremacy or Chair of State in Spirituals, as Kings or other crowned heads in Temporals..

Luth. This is a truth known to all but Heretics and Unbelievers. Eighteen ages adminifter this proof. Seventy years was I hard fet, in this bird-lime of perdition, not knowing that being initiated in the nobility of fpiritual royalty, in the Chriftian Priesthood, I was be-kecking my own neft. When man was in honour he did not know it This Scripture is verified in our Priefihood, who difavow and make ourfelves the make game, and laughing ftock of the rafcally crew of Calvinjans, and other falle brethren. Mylelf and Brotherhood have drank deep of this poisonous draught of herely and fchifm; being dragged into a league by the cunning contrivance and artful machination of the very pelt, offscouring and out caft of our nation, many of our laws olic being
