Pfal. 34. 18. The Lord is nigh to them that are of a broken heart, and faveth fuch as be of a contrite spirit.

Pfal. 51. 17. The facrifices of God are a broken fpirit: broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not defpife.
