to demand, take, and allow Satisfaction; the Part the Son exercifed, or is to exer cife here, &c. and the Part the Spirit exercifed, was by Covenant. And John v. after Chrift had, from v. 17. carried on the Comparison between his Father and himfelf, and allowed himself to be the Son of God, he affigns the Reafon for his acting apart, v. 27. And hath given him Aŭthority to execute Judgment alfo, because he is the Son of Man. Mat. ix. 6. Mark ii. 10. Luke v. 24. But that ye may know that the Son of Man hath Power on Earth to forgive Sins. So, he had Power to change the Day, and the Reason of obferving, fo, the Duties to be observed on the Sabbath; and to appoint other Services, and another Day. Mat. xii. 8. Mark ii. 28. Luke vi. 5. call him Lord, how is he his Son? Where the Divinity and Humanity are both men tioned, fo diftinguifhed, the Son of Man muft be taken as Man. Pfal. lxxx. 17. So Heb. ch. ii. which is Part cited, and that applied, v. 6.-Or the Son of Man that thou vifiteft him? Thou madeft him a little lower than the Angels (Aleim) ;v. 9. But we fee Jefus, who was made a little lower-v. 14. Forafmuch then as the Children are Partakers of Flesh and Blood, he also himself likewife took Part of the fame: For verily he took not on him the Nature of Angels; but he took on him the Seed of Abraham. So as aforefaid, where other Words limit it to the Man.

Adam was made by, fo whilft perfect, as Luke iii. 38. The Son of God. Rom. v. 14. Who is the Figure of him that was to come. So, the Humanity, Jefus begotten by, is called the Son of God, of the most high or higheft, of the Bleffed, his beloved Son, the Son of his Love, his only-begotten Son. Mat. i. 18. She was found with Child of the Holy Ghoft. The Son of the highest.

Ghost

Ghoft fhall come upon thee, and the Power of the highest jhall overshadow thee: Therefore alfo that holy thing which fall be born of thee, fhall be called the Son of God. Dan. iii. 25.
