PSALM CL. The prophet here continues the subject of praife. It is his concluding hymn, and he finishes with calling for more praise to God. He repeats his calls no lefs than thirteen times in thefe few verfes. Let us praise ever so often, ever fo well, he would have us to try to do it more, and to do it better: And ftill though we have failed (and we fhall fail for ever) yet to take up fresh praises in our mouths, never wearied of this bleffed employment upon earth: for it will be our holy employment and sweetest happiness in heaven. Though we have gone through the pfalms and are finishing to day, yet the prophet would have us pray for an higher note of praise than we ever fang in. O may we have fome of their Spirit, 'to among among whom not only every thing that breathes, bet alfo every breath praifeth the Lord. May God the holy Ghoft fill our hearts with gratitude, and help us to fing with heavenly joy and gladnefs unto the Lord our God. PRAISE ye the Lord: Gods praise within His fanctuary fee ye raise, And to him in the firmament Of his great pow'r ascribe ye praise. II. Because of all his mighty acts III.
