1887. Its use in scripture and its application to Biblical criticism; with a chapter on the Bible and science. The writer of this work was led to study the symbolism connected with the use of numbers in scripture. Not finding in any English work such full information on the subject as he wished, he determined to seek it from the scriptures themselves. It is written not in the language of scholars, but for ordinary English Bible readers, and presupposes no knowledge whatever of the sacred languages.
