THEN therefore the Lord knew, how the Pharifees had heard that Jefus made and baptized more difciples 2. than John, (though Jefus himself baptized not, but his difciples) * Now when Jefus heard [alfo] that John was caft into Prifon. There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jefus faith unto her, 8. Give me to drink. (For his difciples were gone away unto the City to buy 9. meat) Then faith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is that thou being a Few askeft drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? (for the Jews have no 10. dealings with the (a) Samaritans.) Jefus
