Topics: background and causes, first days of the war, leaders, new methods of warfare, life in the trenches, major battles, U.S. entry into the war, women, home fronts, unusual stories, and the war's aftermath. Eleven fascinating historical articles (four or five pages long, and reproducible for easy distribution) summarize main points and deliver colorful, memorable details about history.
