6 And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years.

હું ન દેવ એમ કહું કે તેહેના વંશ પરદેશમાં રહેનાર થશે ને તે આ એઓને દાશપણામાં રાખશે ને ચારી વરશ શુધી દુખ દેશે 7 And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

૭ ને દેવે [એન] કહું કે જે દેશના દાશ એ શે તે મોકાની હું ખબર લઈશું નેતાહાર પછી મેમા બાહુાર આ શે ને એ જંગેનાં ભાહારી થયા કરશે

8 And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs.

૮ ને તેણે તેણેને શુંનતના બંદોબશત આચ્યા પછી એંન તેણે ઈશાને જનનાએવા ને આડમે દાહાડે તેહેની શુંનત કીધી પછી ઈશહાકે ઈચ્યકુબને [જનનાએવા] ને ઈઆકુબે તે ખાર માદીપીતાને [જનમાવા]

9 And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt; but God was with him,

૯ પછી તે આદીપીતાએ અદેખાઈ રાખીને નીશરમાં નાકલવા ચારૂ] ઈઊશશ્નને વેચીનાંખા પણુ દેવ તેહેની ગમ હુતા

10 And delivered him out of all his aflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharoah king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all highouse.

૧૦ ને તેણે તેદુંનાં શ્વર્યાં દુઃખમાંથી તેણેને ધેડાએવા ને ખીશ

રના રાખ્ત પારોની આગલ તેણેને કીરપા તથા ગનાન આએવું માટે એણે નીશર પર તથા પોતાના આખા ઘરનાં પર તેહેને અધીકારી ઠરાએવા

11 Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction; and our fathers found

no sustenance.

૧૧ પછી નીશરના આખા દેશમાં તથા ખનાનાં દકાલનું હેવું નેહાડું શંકટ પડું કે હુમારા બાપ દાદાઓને પોશણ નહોતું નલવું

12 But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt he sent out our fathers first.

૧૨ પણ ઇચ્છાકુબે શાંભર્યું કે નીશરમાં અનાજ છે તાહાર તેણે પહેલાં હમારા બાપ દાદાને તાંહાં નાકલા

13 And at the second time Joseph was inade known to his brethren: and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharoah,

૧૩ પછી બીજી ખેપે] ઇઊશક્ પોતાના ભાઈને લખા ને ઇઊશાં શાં ફારોને માલુમ થ

14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.

૧૪ તારે ઇઊશશ્ને મોકલીને પોતાના બાપ ઈઆકુબને તથા પોતાનાં ઘાઁ શગ પાંણાચા નાંણાને [તાંહીં] તેડાએવાં 15 So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers,

૧૫ ને ઇઆકુબ નીશરમાં પાઊંચા પછી તે તથા હુનારા બાપ દાદા ભરીગ

16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem.

૧૬ ને તે શુખેનમાં પેલી ગમ લઈજવાઆ ને જે કબર આં બુરહાને કંઈ નગદી આપીને શુખેનના[બાપ]એÀારના દીકરાઓ શ્રી વેચાથી લીધી હતી તેમાં તે સુકાઆ

1? But when the tine of the promise drew nigh, which ~God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

૧૭ પણ વચનના વખત જે શસઁધી દેવે શમ ખાઇને આબરા મને કહું હુંતું તે મ પાશે આગેવા તેમ તે લાક નીશરમાં વધા ને ઘણા આ આ

18 Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph. ૧૮ જાહાં સુધી બીને રાન થઓ જે ઇઊશને નહાતા ખણુતા તાં સુધી

19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live.

૧૯ તેણેજ હનારાં શાં બ્લેડે કપટ કરીને હુનારા બાપ દાદા ને કેવું દુખ દીધું કે તેનાં ઇઓને જીવતાં ન રહેવા દેવા શા રૂ કાહાી મુકાવા

20 In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months: ૨૦ તેજ વખતમાં સુશા જનનો ને તે ઘણા ખુબચ્છુરત હુતા ને તરણ નીના સુધી પોતાના બાપના ઘરનાં ઊછરો

21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son.

૨૧ ને તે બાહુાર કહુડા તાહારે પારેાની દીકરીએ તેને ઊંચકી લીધો ને પોતાના દીકરા થવાને તેને પાલા

22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

૨૨ ને સુશાને નીશીઓનું ઘણું ગનાન શીખવાઊ હુતું માટે ખોલવામાં તથા કરવાનાં તે શખરથ શ

23 And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

૨૩ ને તે પુÎ ચાલીશ વરશના ચ તાહારે ઈશરાએલના વં શુને [એટલે] પેાતાના ભાઈને નલવાનું તેણેના મનમાં આએવું

24 And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian :

૨૪ ને [તેમાંથી] એકને જીલન પાંનતો દેખીને તેણે[તહુંની ચાહેતા કીધી ને તે નીશીને નાડીનાંખીને ભુલન પાંખેલાનો બદ સા લીધા

25 For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.

૨૫ કેમકે તેણે ધારૂં કે તેના ભાઈ શમળે કે દેવ તેને તેની હુંશતકથી છુટકા આપશે પણ તે [કંઈ] શના નહીં

26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another? ૨૬ ને બીજે દાણાડે તે લડતા હુતા તારે તે તેની પાશે દેખાઓ ને તેણે તેને નાહાના શલાહુ કરાવતાં કહ્યું કે આ માં શા તમે ભાઇ ! તમે કેમ એક બીન પર જુલમ કરેછે

27 But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

૨૭ પણ જે પોતાના પડોશી પર જીતન કરતા હતા તેણે તેને હડશેલો ભાગીને કહું કે તને કાણું હુન પર અધીકારી અથવા હાકન રાઓવાળું

28 Wiît thon kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday!

૨૮ કાલે તે જૈન નીશીને મારીનાખા તેમ શું મને ભાવીનાં ખવા ચાહે જ

29 Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons.

૨૯ તાહાર એ વાત શાંભલા પર સુશા નાણાડો ન મીટ્ટીઞાન દે શમાં પરદેશી મા તાં તેણે બે દીકરા જનનાએવા

30 And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush.

૩૦ ને ચાલીશ વરશ લીગમાં તાહારે પરભુના દુતે શીનાઈ પા હાડના જંગલમાં ખલતા ગાડવાના ભડકામાં તેને દરણ આપુ

31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

૩૧ ને સુશા ોઈને તે દરશણથી અચરત પાંમા ને ધારવાને પાશે જતા તા તાહારે પરભુના શબદ તે શુધી આએવા

32 Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold.

૩૨ કે હું તાહારા બાપ દાદાના દેવ [એટલે] આબરહાન ના દેવ તથા ઈશહાકનો દેવ તથા ઈકુબનો દેવ [8] તાહાર સુશાએ કાંપીને ધારવાની ઊભત ન કીધી

33 Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. ૩૩ પછી પરભુએ તેને કહું કે હું તાહારા પગમાંથી ભેંડા ઊતાર કેમકે જે જંગે પર તું ઊભો રેહેલ્લે તે પીતર ભાખે છે

34 I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people
